Formed in early 2007, and based in Milwaukee, WI - Perry Weber & The DeVilles have quickly made a name for themselves in the Blues/Roots world. |
|
Weber is best known for backing up Harmonica legend, Jim Liban [Johnny Winter, David Allen Coe] Perry has also worked closely with such names as The Legendary Blues Band, and Hubert Sumlin [Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters]. In May 2007 he launched Perry Weber & The DeVilles. |
The band also features phenom Kyle Jester on Guitar & Vocals. The San Diego native spent 4 years working alongside the great Candye Kane, and has also backed up such luminaries as James Harman, Jr. Watson, and members of The Paladins. |
Rounding out the rhythm section is Joel Packer on Bass, and Victor Span on drums. These two have performed/toured/recorded with the likes of: James Cotton, Bryan Lee, Vance Kelly, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Big Time Sarah, RJ Mischo, and Nick Moss - just to name a few!! |
The groups debut release "Savage Beauty" was released in May 2007, and recieved regional & national praise from several Blues/Roots publications, as well as peaking at #14 on the Living Blues charts that Summer. |
The follow up release, "The Riot Act" was released in June 2009 - and picked up right where "Savage Beauty" left off.... More great reviews, and peaked at #15 on the Living Blues charts that Summer. The CD also features Blues icon, Barrelhouse Chuck on Piano. |
In a genre becoming watered-down, and flooded with amateurs, PW & The DeVilles are a breath of fresh air! |
